MATH CAMP FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is Monday, and I am all ready having so much fun. Today I got to set up breakfast. Today we learned about  Hypatia she was one of the first women to be recognized as a mathematician, and her father is Theaon. Sadly, at the end of her life she was killed/murdered. We also learned how to use clues to find the answers.
Then we learned about sets, and how they are used. Here is an example of sets. E: A={1,2,3,6}. That is an example, but there are many other things about it to know. I wanted to show you a simple problem. I t was really fun.
After that we did some Olympiad questions. Some were though, but the good news is that we had a group  to work with. Then we had snacks. After, a snack break we went over our Olympiad questions. My group got all, but one answer right.
Then we played Set-the game It is really fun. Here is the web to Set.  You have to look and see if you can find a set of three. You can get the cards online. You need to be quick.
After a fun game we went Morgan Hall to learn about an app called Poly Z Vision. It is fun to play on, and with. Dr. Andreev taught us how to use the app he made with help from other people. Here is a picture I made on the app. We made it on the tablet. I will tell you what happened tonight on tomorrows blog.

Today is Tuesday, and last night we had a blast swimming. Today we learned about Ada Byron Lovelace. She never met her father, Byron. She played music, and she was the first computer programmer. She had illnesses all of her life. We also learned how to figure out your birthday, and here are the steps.:
1. Write down the month you/they were born
2.Then double the number
3. After that add 6
4. Then times it by 50
5. Then add the day the person or yourself was born
6.After that take away 365 from that answer
7. Then add 65
8.Lastly put a slash through the answer in the middle, and you should get the birth day.
We worked with Algebra tiles, and that was fun. We also did polyhedra . That is when you make shapes out of poly shapes. After that, we did some more Olympiad problems. Pascal's triangle was amazing, because it got bigger and bigger numbers as it went. Our teacher Beth shryock Blew my mind, with the Pascal's triangle.
We had a guest speaker Stef Fenimore, and she is a civil engineer. She is manly in the water portion of that job. The civil engineer involves, working with construction workers on bridges, roads, sewers, and water plant. They make the plans, and they go on site to supervise the work to make sure it is right.

Today is Wednesday, we had a lot of fun over the first three full days so far. Today we learned about Maria Agnesi. We also played Mastermind, and it is fun to play. We also worked with Fibonacci numbers. We also checkout a website that was full of quizs, and you can even make your own. It is called sporcle. We had a guest speaker who talked to us about Zika virus

Today is our last full day at math camp. I can't wait to be home, but I am sad to leave. Yesterday night we had a big water fight, and we soaked our counselor Shea. Today we learned about Maryam Mirzakhani. We did more work on Pascal's triangle. We also talk about Christmas in July. We did the Monty Hall (he was the first Lets make a Deal host) problem. Dr. Jessica Lin talk to us  about Game theory, and it was very interesting.  We will be going to the book store tonight, to buy a souvenir.
